Halo Infinite has been on a roll lately, with its latest season having the makings of an honest-to-god comeback. The game is now well stocked with fun maps and game modes, while its battle passes have evolved from terrible to tolerable. The player count has jumped significantly, and a flood of nostalgia-bait maps from Halo 3 that will absolutely work on me are just a week away.

We’ve been waiting an awfully long time for something to finally drag virtual reality into the mainstream, and maybe—just maybe—this is it: Roblox, the massively popular gaming platform that draws in more people every single day than there are Canadians in Canada, is coming very soon to Meta Quest VR headsets.

The VR version of Roblox will be available on the Meta Quest 2 and Quest Pro headsets, and the new Quest 3 when it launches later this year. It will initially be available in open beta, which Meta said will be “a great opportunity for the Roblox developer community to optimize their existing games for Quest and build new ones for VR.”

A class-action lawsuit has been filed in California against Stability AI, Midjourney, and DeviantArt by artists alleging these companies have infringed on their copyright. The issue largely stems from the use of copyrighted images found within massive catalogues of data used to train these companies’ AI art generation tools, which are often used without artists’ agreement or any form of compensation.

The artists are represented by the Joseph Saveri law firm (via Ars Technica), who notes “Stable Diffusion and other image-generating AI products could not exist without the work of painters, illustrators, photographers, sculptors, and other artists.”

Generally, Prime Day is an excellent time to nab yourself a deal on everything from full gaming PCs to SSDs to the most tempting of forbidden fruit, but not everything is quite as generous an offer as the big red “Prime Day Sale” sticker would have you believe. Great news, VR fans. Valve has just released SteamVR 2.0 in beta. This is the software that powers the entire virtual reality experience on Steam, from hooking up to hardware to the interface you use to whizz around virtual worlds, and it just got a ton more features.
